A private label project through Conair, Pattern Beauty by Tracee Ellis Ross was looking to reintroduce the hair steamer to the market through a design that seamlessly blended with their current tools.

Early concepts reflected the design of Pattern’s hair dryer.

After a team review, the design pivoted to a version that could stand on the counter with the water tank in the bottom.

Nearing final iterations, the steamer was updated to include a trigger with a lock, release buttons for attachments, and a readiness indicator light.
